Texas Angel Oil Coupon by CWK

You asked for a coupon - discount on Texas Angel Oil extra virgin olive oil.  Here it is and yes ordering 3 bottles is still the best option with free shipping.  As my volume of olives from the olive trees continues to grow I will continually lower the price.  I hope one day to be able to price my extra virgin olive oil below $10.00 per bottle for you, but being a small handcrafted orchard producing world class fresh extra virgin olive oil does have it's limitations.  At least for now.

The Great Ledbetter Texas flood by CWK

This post is much more unplanned and random than usual, but recent
storms in Texas gave the family more lake front property. Good time to
sell it maybe?. Ranch on deep water lake with floating cabins, barn,
and a submersible tractor; $49 Million (no mineral rights). Ok, so
maybe not.

Between Austin and Houston off of Highway 290 is at most a town with 20
structures in total known as Ledbetter Texas and just outside is my families ranch.
My grandfather purchased the ranch long before I first arrived on this earth and has since been purchased by my Parents. Too many memories to list, but one memory was when I jet skied with a friend from the front porch of the cabin as
water just barely reached it one year back in the 1990's. Normally the
cabin is not enjoying lake front views, but with the right amount of
rain and the nearby flood control lake installed by the core of
engineers and like magic you have a lake front view. This is the first
time any in the family have ever seen the water this high. Apparently
all the way both into and past the cabin up to the barn. To think with
all the flooding Texas, especially Cypress - Houston, it took rain last
night at the ranch to get my family to experience some flooding.

I'm assuming nobody in the family is planning to retire up to Ledbetter
Texas at least without obtaining more scuba diving training. Stay dry
and don't worry my Olive orchard outside Columbus Texas is doing just fine!

Part of why I'm building my company with my young kids. By CWK

As your noticing I like keeping these posts simple, in part due to time limitations.  I grew up being beat over the head that college is my only option, my only chance, to have any future in this life.  Wow was that terrible advice from very well intended individuals!  Don't get me wrong I think college has tremendous merit, assuming you go for a specific degree like Engineering, Medical, etc...  Random degree's-well not so much.

I realize now with a couple of years under my belt the main reason for that ill fated advice was that many people simply don't know another path.  I sure as heck didn't know another way until I learned it both the very very hard way and from mentor's in my life.  Work for someone else and you will make them rich, but build a company and the sky is the limit.  The latter is extremely tough and I have always respected the people who know that building a company is not for them.

Texas Angel Oil extra virgin olive oil is not just a family business with my two children (ages 12 & 14), it is a business suited to have my children involved.  A chance for them to see how a business is built and participate is almost aspect.  So yes you do and will see some things that are just slightly, "off".  Like the product photos that were taken by my son.  Don't get me wrong for I think he did a great job, but obviously he has more to learn.  Also, as many of you have seen and contacted me about random blog posts from my daughter.  Well, at least they are involved, trying, learning, and moving forward.

Every business makes mistakes and I hope this gives my children the opportunity to make some of those mistakes in order to avoid them in the future.  Don't worry for the specialized blending on Texas Angel Oil extra virgin olive oil is solely in the hands of a great man I was blessed to be in contact with.  The quality of the product is not subject to mistakes, but some photos, labels, and posts on extra virgin olive oil might be.

I'll probably make the most mistakes!

Old grumpy olive tree legend known as the Olive Tree of Vouves by CWK

On the Greek island of Crete sits an ancient olive tree given the name,
"Olive Tree of Vouves". It is estimated to be over 3,000 years old with
only six other olive trees estimated to be over 2,000 years old in the
region. The Tree of Vouves is still producing olives that while highly
prized in European countries, are relatively unknown the America's. I
definitely need to get my hands on some of these olives.

I love the fact that my olive trees are hardy, drought/disease/fire
resistant, but over 3,000 years old my trees are not. Texas has some
catching up to do in the olive tree world, but Texas extra virgin olive
oil is second to none. It's good to know that my labors today in the
orchards can last thousands of years. I do wonder what is the oldest
olive tree is both in Texas and in the America's? Some more research to
do...

It is well with my soul! by CWK

There are too many miracles to possibly list. Too much grace for my
family and myself to understand and not enough thanks I can ever give.
God is great and he is good...always!

Morning in the orchard by CWK

Our orchard producing Texas Angel Oil is outside of Columbus Texas on
what is considered the Northeastern edge of the golden triangle for
producing olives in Texas. Smothering humidity rising up from the Gulf
of Mexico mixed with a dry sandy loam and you get heaven for olive
trees. At least that's what I'm told and I'm not an expert....not yet.
I do know great extra virgin olive oil when I taste it and from my
vantage point the trees must love it. Arbequina, Coratina, and a host of
others work into the specialized blend that is Texas Angel Oil. Blend
you say? Yes, every olive oil I'm aware of (that's thousands) is
blended. Too much Arbequina too peppery, too much Coratina and it won't
cook right on the stove, but just right with one of the highest
Arbequina blends on the planet and you get my Texas Angel Oil extra
virgin olive oil. Did I mention most store bought olive oil is blended
with old olive oil? Instead of the word old I could use the word rancid,
industry secret is to cut fresh flavorful olive oil with old rancid
olive oil. No waste, sell it to your local grocery store, great price,
and Americans don't know olive oil is supposed to be fresh and your wine
old. Now you know and while some specialty gourmet shops carry my oil,
I don't know if I can produce enough olive oil for the volume a H.E.B.,
Kroger, Randall's, Central Market, Whole Foods, or Brookshire Brothers
grocery stores could muster. Fresh all natural does have it's limits,
but taste is not one of them.

Try my Texas Angel Oil extra virgin olive oil and if you don't agree
it's the best you have ever tried; I'll refund you in full!

Family Extra Virgin Olive Oil company by CWK

As I previously mentioned and for those of you who know me I spent 15
plus years in technology. From companies like Cisco Systems, Cogent,
and multiple venture, angel, and self funded startups. The IT field
began unbeknown to me during my time in the United States Navy as a
communication specialists (fancy way to say radioman). I enjoyed
working in IT, but there was always a piece missing and in the back of
my mind I was searching.

I dreamed of a ranch or nice quiet place to be closer both to nature and
to God. Other than using divine intervention as an explanation, I don't
really have a great way to explain how it came to be that I now have an
orchard in Texas. I'm proud of my cooking skills and I pride myself on
my ever expanding knowledge of the culinary arts, but I don't kid myself
for I'm no Guy Fieri (Yes I'm a fan). Growing up with cooking ability
that only involved a microwave I have taken countless cooking classes,
even seriously considered schooling at the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute of
America) no idea if they would have accepted me and most of all I
learned tips from countless unnamed home chefs who are the masters in
their kitchen. I'm no professional, but I do know great ingredients when
I come across them. Many years ago the Texan in me tried Texas olive
oil from the Texas Olive Ranch and candidly I didn't have high
expectations. Needless to say that 1 bottle from the Texas Olive Ranch
set me on a path that today lands me on this page. I won't bore you
with all the details, but Texas olive oil is second to none. While I
implore you to try my Texas Angel Oil extra virgin olive oil and why my
blend is the best, I would be disingenuous if I told you anything other
than almost any Texas olive oil is simply outstanding. Try mine or any
other and you will not be disappointed. Which explains why people from
the likes of Italy, Spain, Greece, and Turkey are flocking to Texas to
buy land to begin building olive orchards. That's another post for a
future day.

Until then you can find Texas Angel Oil on Amazon and hopefully the
www.texasangeloil.com website will be up very soon. I'll just keep
cooking with my children trying out different recipes to share with you
in the future. The picture is a turmeric/olive oil chicken, long grain
rice, and fresh grown asparagus my children cooked. Yes, my children's
skills in the kitchen surpassed the microwave cooking ability of my
youth. They do need to work on their blogging skills as you see from my
daughter's whimsical posts. God bless!

Skyla's first post (She was told to include olive oil, but anything she wanted) by Skyla

Yoda was the greenest...quite possibly the smelliest....green thing in
the universe but he was the wisest....he probably had lots of Texas
Angel olive oil.

Writers block or just exhaustion? By Christopher Kasmiroski

I have built several companies in the past, but they were mainly built
due to my knowledge and potential revenues. Now I have my dream
orchard, my company, what will be my children's company one day (I
hope). This is the first company my young children, ages 12 &14, are
involved with. So I'm showing them the tedious way to build all aspects
of a company from manufacturing (our orchard), to distribution (our
online sales partners), to retail and marketing (my writers block) and
everything in between.

Years in the making to produce what will soon be recognized as the
world's or one the world's finest olive oils. Now we can begin sharing
this incredible Texas produced extra virgin olive oil with the world.
Marketing 101; generate
content.......content........content.......nothing......still nothing..
I'm going out to the orchard to clear my head.
